Lazada Regalo School of Acting

Lazada has over 50 million items you can buy with a simple tap on your phone. That was the client brief for their annual 11.11 and 12.12 sale.

Since we got the brief just in time for the Christmas season in the Philippines, we thought of using a very Filipino Christmas insight: that dreaded picture frame/socks/face towel you will receive from your kris kringle. Bad gifts are everywhere, and you have no choice but to act grateful when you receive one. Presenting the Lazada Regalo School of Acting. A parody of an acting masterclass presented by the country’s best actors/actresses.

We presented the idea to clients and they were so happy to extend the campaign for the entire year. A simple brief for a sale video became a series of ads. No matter what the occasion, there is no excuse for bad gifts because you have a myriad of gifts to choose from in Lazada. No need for special acting skills when you receive a Lazada gift.

The campaign won third prize in Youtube Works 2018 and was shortlisted in Boomerang 2018 and AdStars 2019.
